What is ACN Mobile World?

ACN Mobile World allows you to save up to 70% on your mobile phone bill. Simply pick your plan and download a mobile application to your smartphone, or make calls through the Call Back Service.

Our ACN Mobile World dialer can be downloaded on your mobile phone and then you can launch it on the go, through any 3G, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi Internet connection.

This means that you can make low cost phone calls at any given moment, without using your mobile provider.
Getting started with ACN Mobile World

There are several steps in order to start using the ACN Mobile World Application service .
Find out which mobile application you need to download.
Download the application to your mobile phone -

  • Symbian Operating System:
    Go to myacn.com or myacncanada.ca and select ACN Mobile World using your mobile phone's browser, the installation will start automatically. If you are reading this from your mobile phone you can simply click here to download the dialer to your phone.
  • Android Operating System: Click on the Market icon on your mobile application list and type ACN in the search field, click on Install and confirm by clicking OK.
  • iPhone:
    Click on the App Store icon on your iPhone, then click on the Search tab and type ACN. Click on the Free button, then on Install. You may have to enter your iTunes account login details. Enter your account details.

Customers must install AND click on the ACN Mobile World App prior to making calls to activate and place calls using the service.

Start making calls - Enter the number you want to call in the following format:
International Access Code (if applicable) + Country code + Area code + Number

How am I charged for the calling plan?

If you are registered to any of our calling plans, your account can either be set on Automatic Call Credit (automatic recharge) or Manual Call Credit (manual recharge).
This means that your credit card will be charged in the following cases:

  1. Monthly service charge: The monthly service charge is deducted on your billing date, which is determined by the date you have registered to the calling plan. On your billing date, the monthly fee is charged to your credit card.
  2. Account balance: Calls made to destinations which are not included in your calling plan, and per-minute charges for exceeding your calling plan minute, are deducted from your pre-paid Call Credits. When the account balance falls below the threshold*, your credit card can either be automatically debited for the amount you have chosen upon registration – the amount that can be changed by you at any time through the Member Center*, or you can manually add funds to your Call Credits.

Be advised: When using the service within the U.S., all charges added to your account will have a surcharge for the United States state & local sales tax.

*All accounts have a threshold of $1.50

Unlike the U.S. & Canada and the International plans, if you are registered to the Pay as you Go plan, the monthly fee is deducted from your account balance and is not charged directly from your credit card. However, if there are not enough funds on your account balance to sustain the monthly fee and still keep your account above the threshold, your credit card will be charged the monthly fee, and your calling plan will then be renewed.
What are the rates using ACN Mobile World service?

To view a complete list of ACN Mobile World international rates for all three calling plans, go to the Mobile Application section of myacn.com or myacncanada.ca and select Shop Now. Choose the calling plan you want for yourself and click Learn More. Select the Rates Table, choose the destination to which you are calling and click Go.

If you are already a customer of ACN Mobile World just login to the Member Center with your User ID and password, My Account => Rates => Choose the destination => Choose the calling plan and click on Find.
Am I charged for taxes using ACN Mobile World?

U.S.:
State and local governments do assess taxes, surcharges and/or fees on the services we provide to you.

Canada:
Province governments do assess taxes, surcharges and/or fees on the services we provide to you.

How will the US tax be calculated?

U.S.:
These taxes, surcharges and fees vary based on the state/local jurisdiction you are under.  Moreover, such taxes, surcharges and fees may be calculated as a percentage of the amount that we charge you or may be a flat fee, and will be determined based on the registered service address you provide us with.  For any additional information regarding your state sales tax laws, please contact your state revenue service department.

Is it possible to receive an invoice?

We communicate all credit card transactions with our customers online through the Member Center. Every transaction is confirmed via email, and you can check ACN Mobile World Member Center for a list of transactions. The confirmation emails, along with the online transaction log and your credit card statement can serve as an invoice.

What is the difference between Automatic and Manual Call Credit?

Automatic Call Credit:
Automatic Call Credit means that each time your balance falls below $1.50, your credit card will automatically be charged at the increment you selected during registration. This increment can be changed from the Member Center. This option will ensure that your account will always have funds and that you will be able to make calls at all times. Your service will never be cut off as a result of an insufficient balance, as long as your credit card is valid.  

Manual Call Credit:
Recharging your ACN Mobile World account occurs only upon your request. This means, however, that you will only be able to make calls as long as you have funds on your account.

Please note that the calling plans fee requires a direct credit card charge as the monthly fee which is not affected by the Manual/Automatic Call Credit settings.

Whatever payment method you choose, you can view a real time record of charges debited from your credit card and update your account information including the amount to be recharged and the recharge type at the ACN Mobile World online Member Center.

Note: When using the service within the U.S., each charge added to your account will have a surcharge for the United States state & local sales tax.
Is my credit card secure?

ACN Mobile World is dedicated to securing your purchases with the latest technology:
The purchase area of our site is fully secure; by utilizing industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and credit card information. Using our secure server your credit card details are encrypted before being sent over the Internet.

What is the ACN Mobile World Money Back Guarantee & Refund Policy?

ACN Mobile World offers a comprehensive money-back guarantee to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase.

Pay as you Go plan:
The money back guarantee is available if you cancel service within 15 days of account activation and provided that you have $2 of usage.

U.S. & Canada and International plans:
The money back guarantee is available if you cancel service within 15 days of account activation and provided that you have not exceeded 30 minutes or $2 of usage (on out of plan calls).

If you meet these requirements, ACN Mobile World will refund the charges for monthly and activation fees if written notice is received by ACN Mobile World within such 15 day period. Federal excise taxes and any other applicable taxes are not refundable.

If you are unsatisfied with the ACN Mobile World service you have purchased, you may request a refund.

ACN Mobile World is currently offering two refund options:
Risk-free Money-Back Guarantee. You are eligible for the money back guarantee as long as you request to cancel service within 15 days of account activation and if you have not exceeded 30 minutes of usage. If you meet these requirements, ACN Mobile World will refund the charges for the monthly fee and balance recharge.

If you are not eligible for the money-back guarantee, you may still request a refund for any unused funds in your Account Balance, as long as your request is within 60 days from the date your credit card was charged. Your refund will include any funds remaining on your account balance, excluding bonus and promotional additions to your account. $2 refund processing fee will be incurred for processing your refund.
What is ACN Mobile World Cancellation policy?

You may request to cancel your account at any time, by calling Customer Support at 866-827-3039 in the U.S. and 877-553-5099 in Canada. Please be advised that your account will not be deactivated until the cancellation is confirmed by ACN Mobile World Customer Care.

How do I download and install the iPhone dialer?

You can download the iPhone dialer at the Apple App Store free of charge. You will find it by searching the keyword ACN.

How do I set the iPhone dialer to work with my ACN Mobile World account?

After you click on the dialer that you have just installed, you will get a login page. This page will appear automatically only the first time you access the dialer.

Enter your 8-digit User ID in the 'Account' field and 4-digit password in the 'Password field, then click 'Done.



After this is done, just wait for the status message to become 'Registered' and you are ready to go.



To change your account settings later on, click on 'Settings' at the bottom menu and you will get the login page once again. Enjoy!

How do I download and install the Symbian dialer from a computer?

Click here to download the dialer to your computer
Save the 'ACN Mobile World.sis' file in your computer
Transfer the application to your mobile phone using your USB cable or Bluetooth. Be sure to save the file on your phone and not your memory card

How do I download and install the Symbian dialer directly on my phone?

How do I set up the ACN Mobile World dialer on my Symbian phone?

How do I download and install the Android dialer?

The ACN Mobile World Android Dialer can be downloaded through the Android Market application that exists by default in every Android based mobile phone.

Just look for the 'Market' icon in your phone's application list or on the home screen.
Then click on the 'Search' option on its top right corner and type in ACN. Then you will see the installation page, so just click on 'Install' and confirm by clicking 'OK'.

How do I set the Android dialer to work with my ACN Mobile World account?

After you click on the ACN dialer that you have just installed, you will get the following dial-pad. Click on More on the top right:

I am not able to install the mobile application. What should I do?

If you have tried to install and configure the Mobile Application but have been unsuccessful, we suggest reviewing the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check that your phone's make and model supports the Mobile Application.
  • Check that you have selected the correct version of the Mobile Application. This is based on your phone's operating system. Please check your phone's documentation to confirm which operating system it uses.
  • Uninstall the application, download the application again and re-install it to your phone. Review "Getting started with ACN Mobile World" and follow the instructions for downloading and installation instructions for your phone's operating system.
How am I charged for using the Mobile Application service?

You will be charged according to the plan that you choose and the destination that you call. These charges may include a monthly charge for your plan and per minute charges for your calls. For more

*Calls made using the Mobile Application consume approximately 3 Megabits of data usage per 5 minutes and your mobile phone or Internet service provider may subject you to additional charges based on the Internet connection type that you are using and your data plan. * Please note, if you receive an incoming call while a call is in progress via the ACN Mobile app, the incoming call will override the application and exit the application on most phones.
How does ACN Mobile World to ACN Digital Phone Service Calling work?

Free ACN Mobile World application calls to ACN Digital Phone Service numbers work over Wi-Fi, when the call is initiated by the ACN Mobile World application. The free call can be made to any Digital Phone Service customer who has a Phone Adapter or a Video Phone, however, video calls between the application and ACN Video Phones are not supported. ACN Mobile World application calls not made over Wi-Fi may incur data plan charges. Calls made to ACN Digital Phone Service customers using the Call Back Service will be charged the normal plan rate.

What is Call Back Service?

Call Back Service is another great way to use ACN Mobile World from your mobile phone to make low-cost calls globally, even if you don't have a connection to the Internet.

Simply dial the Call Back Access Numbers from the mobile phone number that you have registered on your account. Our Call Back Access number will return a busy signal, and the caller should disconnect the call immediately. The caller's phone will be called immediately and you will hear Thank you for using ACN Mobile World. Please dial the number you wish to call, including country code. Once you answer, dial the number you wish to call.
How am I charged for using Call Back Service?

You will be charged according to the plan that you choose and the destinations that you are calling. These charges may include a monthly charge for your plan and per minute charges for your calls.

Call Back Service is initiated by our platform calling you back, and this return inbound call is active for the duration of your phone call. The inbound call may consume minutes from your mobile phone service and roaming charge may apply, depending on your mobile phone plan. We suggest that you contact your mobile phone provider for more information. Please note that we are not responsible for any additional charges due to the usage of our service.

Do not press "Send" after dialing the number you wish to call over the Call Back Service platform, or you may incur additional charges.
How do I use Call Back Service?

Using  CallBack Service is simple:

  1. Dial the Call Back Access Number from the mobile phone number that you have registered on your account. Our Call Back Access number will return a busy signal, and the caller should disconnect the call immediately.
  2. The caller's phone will be called immediately and you will hear Thank you for using ACN Mobile World. Please dial the number you wish to call, including country code.
  3. Dial the number you wish to call and your call will be connected.
  4. If you wish to end the call but stay on the incoming call to dial another number, just dial * * #, the call will disconnect and you will be prompted to dial a new destination number.   
Please note: Do not press "Send" after dialing or you may incur additional charges.
What are the Call Back Access Numbers?

The Call Back Access Numbers are:

Customers with U.S. accounts:     1-888-591-2949 and 1-212-981-4100
Customers with Canada accounts:     1-877-788-0318 and 1-905-581-0950

Please add the appropriate Call Back access number to your mobile phone speed dial list so you can easily place ACN Mobile World calls.

The mobile phone number you have registered cannot have Caller ID blocking. If it does, the Call Back platform will not be able to identify the customer to initiate a call. If you have Caller ID blocking, please contact your mobile phone provider to remove this feature.

Call Back calls will display a customer's Caller ID to the called party after the initial Call back call is placed.
The Call Back service is not calling back.

Our Call Back Service will only call you back if you are calling from the mobile phone number registered to your account, if you do not have Caller ID blocked, and if your account is active and has funds available.

If the Call Back Service does not return your call, we suggest the following:

  • Make sure you are using the service from the mobile phone number that you entered when you registered your account.
  • Make sure that when you make a call from your mobile phone number that your Caller ID is not being blocked. To do this, call another phone and check that your Caller ID is being displayed correctly. If it isn't being shown or a different number is shown, contact your mobile service provider to find out why.
Make sure your Mobile World account is active and that there are funds in your Call Credit Account. If there aren't, it probably means that we tried to process a payment on your credit card and it failed. Please add funds by logging into our Member Center, and going to the Add Funds page.
What do I do if I change my mobile phone number?

Since our Call Back Service will only call you back if you are calling from the mobile phone number registered to your account, you will need to update your account with your new phone number.

To do this, please call Customer Care from your new phone.
What can I do in the Member Center?

The Member Center allows full control over your account and its settings, viewing your status at any given moment and checking your call log and billing statement on real time. Here is what the Member Center has to offer:

MY CALLS
In this tab you can view your online call log. You can view the call duration, the rate according to which the call is charged and the total charge per call. In addition, you can minimize your search by checking specific range of dates.

MY ACCOUNTS
In this tab you can view and change your personal details, credit card information and change your account password.

You can change the calling plan of your ACN Mobile World service, add funds manually to your account balance and view your online Billing Statement that includes all credit card transactions that take place in your account.

In addition, the My Account tab provides with a real-time rates search. This ensures that you will always know the exact rates according to which you will be charged and view possible rate changes.

How can I manage my account?

You have complete control of your account. You can check your balance, change your personal 4-digit PIN, see a record of your calls or Credit Card transactions, and change any of your account information including your calling plan through our online Member Center.

To check your account information, simply login to the Member Center using your 8-digit UserID and 4-digit PIN. From the My Account page, you can select and edit: Personal Details, Credit Card Details, Change plan, Billing Statement or Call logs.

How do I register for a new account?

To register for a new account simply go to the Mobile Application section of myacn.com or myacncanada.ca, click Shop Now and select the calling plan you are interested in.

You will be asked to enter your full name, contact details, and payment information. On completion of your registration we will email your User ID to the email address registered to your account.

What if I forget my PIN?

When you register your ACN Mobile World account upon completion of your registration we will send you an email confirming your registration and provide you with your personal UserID.

If you forget your UserID or PIN, you can easily retrieve this information via Member Center. Simply enter the email address registered to your account and click on the red Email My Information button. Your User ID and PIN will be sent to you.

How can I change my calling plan?

You can change your calling plan through our Member Center. To do so, please select the My Account tab and choose Calling Plans from the left options list. Then simply click on the Submit button of the calling plan of your choice.

Please note that any modification made to your calling plan will be effective from your next billing date. This means that if you change your calling plan within the monthly cycle, the new calling plan you have chosen will be your pending plan. At your monthly cycle billing date, the pending plan you have chosen will become your active calling plan.
How can I check my call records?

Your call records are always available through our Member Center. To access your call records directly through the Member Center, select My Account from the top navigation bar. Then choose Call Records from the option list on the left side of the page.
