Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phones

Can I use a cordless phone with my ACN Video Phone?

The IRIS X Video Phone does not enable connection to cordless telephones or subsequent handsets.  Previous models of ACN’s Video Phones, including the IRIS V and prior, enable connection to cordless telephones.

What handset extensions are compatible with my base station and how many handset extensions are supported?

The current model handset available for purchase through ACN is the VT-CS6619.  You will want to ensure any subsequent extensions purchased are compatible with your current model VTech cordless base. Your base station can support up to a maximum of five (5) handset extensions.

How long should I charge my Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone prior to using it?

The phone should charge for at least 11 hours prior to use. 

What battery should I use for my Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone and where can I buy it?

One set of batteries comes with your Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone. If you need to replace your batteries, only use the VTech-approved batteries for your model. To order a new battery visit VTech's Replacement Batteries site here or call (800) 267-7377.

Can I use my phone during a power outage?
No.  Power is required for use of the phone.
What is the range of my Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone?

The typical range of the Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone is 300 meters (approximately 980 feet) depending on environment.

What handset extensions are compatible with my base station?
The VT-CS6619 is compatible with your base station. Your base station can support up to a maximum of five (5) handset extensions.
Can handset extensions connect to multiple base stations?

No. The handset can only be registered to one base station at any given time.

How do I find a lost handset extension?
The base station allows you to locate handset extensions if you have misplaced them. Refer to the User Manual for detailed instructions.
Why is my handset extension not working?
Validate handset extension model number matches that of the VTech main base telephone you have purchased. The handset extension must be registered with the base station. Where do I dispose of my used batteries?

Batteries must be disposed of properly. Check with your local municipality for the proper means of disposing of batteries. NOTE that batteries should never be thrown into a fire as this may cause explosion of the release of hazardous materials.

I lost my AC adaptor for the base station, can I use another one?  Where do I find a new one?

No. Different AC adaptors are meant to be used for different electronic devices; using an incorrect AC adaptor with the Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone base station could result in damage to the base station or adaptor. To avoid the risk of shock or fire only use a VTech-approved AC adaptor with the Digitally Enhanced Cordless Phone base station.
